On arrival to Lima you will be collected at the airport and directly taken to your hotel in the upscale neighborhood of Barranco. Villa Barranco is a beautiful boutique hotel on the shores of the Pacific Ocean and allows great access to explore the city as well the amazing restaurants and great art galleries in the area.
Day 2; Full day exploration of Lima
Today you will have a full day to explore the “City of Kings” Lima. Home to almost one third of the population this massive city has a lot to show for. Beautiful historic buildings, old pre Inca temples, world class museums, the Pacific Ocean and not to forget the new star of the show; Peruvian gastronomy. For the foodies we will gladly provide you with any restaurant suggestions and reservations as well as alternative culinary experiences.
Day 3; Fly to Cusco, pickup & excursion to the Sacred Valley
Today we will collect you from your hotel in Lima for your flight to Cusco. On arrival to this beautiful city in the mountains you will be collected and taken to the Sacred Valley, located on lower altitude and therefore allowing for a better acclimatization. With your private guide and driver we will enjoy this day on our own pace enjoying the sites, the views and the colorful inhabitants. We recommend visiting the impressive Inca fortress of Pisac as well as the never finished site of Ollantaytambo. A stop at the Pisac artisan and fresh market is also a worthwhile stop. You will enjoy  a gourmet picnic lunch with amazing views over the valley before continuing to your hotel were you will be able to unwind and relax in the hotel garden meanwhile the sun is setting over the valley.
Day 4; Via Ferrata and overnight at the Skylodge
The morning you have free to relax and enjoy the quaint village of Ollantaytambo. In the early afternoon you will be collected from your hotel and taken to the Via Ferrata. The Via Ferrata is a secure climbing route that allows you to climb a rocky cliff in the Sacred Valley. After a while you will reach the Skylodge. The Skylodge are three glass pods hanging against the mountain side providing 360º views of the surrounding. The pods are designed to hold a two person bed as well as the basic necessities and will allow you to spend the night under a thousand stars.
Day 5; Full day quad biking excursion to Maras & Moray
In the morning you will come back down to the Sacred Valley floor using a long and adrenaline pumping zip line. Once you have your feet back on solid ground, we will collect you for the next adrenaline packed adventure; a half day quad biking through the beautiful Sacred Valley. After some practice with the quads we will set for the salt mines of Maras where you can sample what is supposed to be the best salt in the world for your BBQ! After having visited these interesting mines we will continue to Moray where we can find some strange circular Inca Terraces in a natural depression used as a kind of agricultural laboratory for the Incas. Here you will enjoy a nice gourmet picnic or alternatively can have lunch at the new restaurant from Virgilio Martinez Mil, located next to the site of Moray. From here we will return to Ollantaytambo and your hotel for the night.
Day 6; Train to Km. 104 for the start of your Inca Trail to Machu Picchu
Today we will collect you in the morning from your Sacred Valley Hotel and take you to the train station in Ollantaytambo to embark the Vistadome Train for a short drive to km.104 of the train tracks. Here the train makes a quick stop allowing the hikers doing the short Inca Trail to Machu Picchu to get off and start their journey on foot to the Sun Gate. The beautiful hike will take about 5 hours and one hour before reaching Machu Picchu you will meet up with the 4 day Inca Trail at the Inca site of Winay Wayna. On arrival to Machu Picchu in the late afternoon you will have some photo ops at the site before heading down to Aguas Calientes and your cozy hotel here.
Day 7; Morning visit to Machu Picchu, hike Huayna Picchu and return to Cusco
At dawn we will head up to the entrance of Machu Picchu in bus to catch a glimpse of the sunrise. You will enjoy a private guided visit of the site and afterwards have some free time allowing you to explore the outer laying parts of the site. If available we will also include the ticket to climb Huayna Picchu Mountain this day. In the afternoon you will head back down to Aguas Calientes to embark your return Vistadome Train to Olllantaytambo where you will be collected and taken to back Cusco and your hotel.
Day 8; Private guided excursion of Cusco, market visit & cooking class
In the morning today we will enjoy a private guided visit of the center of Cusco as well as the 4 impressive Inca sites located on the outskirts of town. In the afternoon you will be collected for a visit to the fascinating central market where you will do some shopping for the cooking class at the Cusco Rooftop Kitchen. In the early evening you will be taken back to your hotel for a free evening in Cusco.
Day 9; Full day hike to the Rainbow Mountain
Today you will have the chance to get to know one of the newer wonders of Peru; Vinicunca or Rainbow Mountain. This mountain is located at about 3 hours’ drive from Cusco followed by a hike of about 1-2 hours taking you to an altitude of 5,000m (16,500ft) above sea level. The views here are amazing but the star of the show is the Rainbow Mountain. This mountain has a dozen different colors running through it making it one of the few mountains like this on the planet. The colors are provoked by minerals in the soil and change in tone and strength throughout the day depending on the sunlight. For many one of the highlights of their trip.
Day 10; Transfer to the airport for your outbound flight
Today is the final day of your trip and according your flight schedule you will be taken to the airport. At Cusco Airport we say goodbye and you can embark your flight to your next destination.
