    During these ten days you will enjoy several of the highlights on the Southern Coast and Highlands. After getting to know the huge city of Lima, home to almost one third of the population and world-renowned gastronomy and culture, you will travel to the Cusco region. Here you will visit this magnificent city in the Andes as well as the Sacred Valley and of course the Peru’s highlight, Machu Picchu. After two days at Machu Picchu we will return to Lima from where we will head to the South Coast for a two day visit to the desert Oasis of Huacachina, the wildlife of the Ballestas Islands and flying over the mysterious Nazca Lines.

    Day to day Itinerary

    Day 1; Arrive to Lima, pickup, transfer to your hotel & overnight

    On arrival to Lima  our  representative will be waiting for you and will take you straight to your hotel in the upscale neighborhood of Miraflores or Barranco. The rest of the day you have free to relax and unwind.

    Day 2; Full day excursion in Lima
    To start your Peru trip the right way, today we will collect you for a full day exploration of the proud capital Lima. Nicknamed the City of Kings, this city has something to offer for every type of traveler. History, art, culture, nightlife and of course the newest star in the spotlight; the culinary scene.
    Day 3; Travel to Cusco and the Sacred Valley
    In the morning you will be collected and taken to the Lima airport for your flight to Cusco. In Cusco we will transfer you to the Sacred Valley, located on lower altitude, allowing for a better acclimatization. En route we will visit the Inca Fortresses of Pisac and Ollantaytambo as well as enjoying some time at the famous Pisac Market. We will spend the night in the Sacred Valley.
    Day 4; Train journey to Machu Picchu & guided visit
    This is the day you will lay eyes on the crown jewel of the Andes; Machu Picchu. Travel by train to the station of Aguas Calientes where your guide will accompany you to the site for your private guided visit. Later in the afternoon you can head back to town and your hotel for the night.
    Day 5; Second day Machu Picchu & return to Cusco
    At dawn we will have breakfast and head straight to the bus station for one of the first buses to Machu Picchu. With a bit of luck we can catch a glimpse of the sunrise over this majestic site. Today is also the ideal day to climb the spine-tingling Huayna Picchu Mountain for some amazing views from above. In the afternoon you will return by train to Ollantaytambo and back to Cusco.
    Day 6; Free morning and afternoon excursion of Cusco and its surroundings
    The morning today is free to unwind and explore the beautiful city of Cusco on your own pace. San Blas, San Pedro Market and the Plaza Nazarenes are all obligatory stops. In the early afternoon you will be collected for a guided visit to the historic city as well as the four impressive Inca ruins surrounding the city.
    Day 7; Free day to enjoy the beautiful city of Cusco
    After the impressions of the last couple of days, this day is free to unwind, enjoy the beauty of Cusco on your own pace and wander through this fascinating city. With a lot of museums, great restaurants and exceptional souvenir shopping opportunities you will not have one dull moment in this city. Optionally this day you could also visit Chinchero, Maras & Moray
    Day 8; Fly to Lima for your transfer to Ica on the South Coast
    In the morning you will be taken to the Cusco airport for your flight to Lima. On arrival to Lima you will be collected and taken to the city of Ica about 4 hours south of Lima. Ica is the heart of the Peruvian wine country and offers a whole new perspective on Peru. Fata Morgana-like desert with some of the highest dunes on the planet. In the afternoon you will enjoy a buggy ride through the desert completed by an amazing sunset that is so typical for these deserts.
    Day 9; Boat excursion to the Ballestas Islands and flight over the Nazca Lines
    This day is all about gettting to know the marvels of the South Coast. Our first stop of the day is Paracas where you will embark your boat taking you to the Ballestas Islands. Penguins, Sea Lions and even Dolphins and Condors can be seen at these protected Islandsa in front of the coast. Arriving back to the mainland we will return to Ica where you will embark the plane taking you to fly over the massive and mysterious Nazca Lines. After the flight you will head back to your hotel.
    Day 10; Return to Lima and the airport
    During the day you will either by tourist coach or private transportation return to Lima. The drive will take about 4 hours and on arrival to Lima you will be taken to the airport for your onward travel.
