    These 7 days will allow you to explore the essence of the Inca Heartland of Peru. Start by exploring Lima for two days after which you will fly to Cusco to start the highland leg of your trip. Discover the Sacred Valley and its authentic culture and beautiful sites before moving on to Machu Picchu. Your visit to Machu Picchu will not be the normal visit but will take you to Machu Picchu over the famous and original Inca Trails of the Incas. You start at km104 from where you will hike for a full day till you reach Machu Picchu the way it was designed; by entering through the Sun Gate. En route to Machu Picchu you will see several other Inca sites as well as some of the most impressive surroundings one can imagine. After the hike you will have a second day at Machu Picchu before returning to Cusco for two nights.

    Day to day Itinerary

    Day 1; Arrive to Lima, pickup, transfer to your hotel & overnight
    On arrival to Lima you will be welcomed at the airport and directly taken to your hotel in the upscale neighborhood of Miraflores or Barranco. Here you can unwind after your flight and get ready for the start of your Peru journey.
    Day 2; Full day excursion in Lima

    Today you will have a full day to explore the “City of Kings” Lima. Home to almost one third of the population this massive city has a lot to show for. Beautiful historic buildings, old pre Inca temples, world class museums, the Pacific Ocean and not to forget the new star of the show; Peruvian gastronomy.

    Day 3; Fly to Cusco, pickup & excursion to the Sacred Valley
    Today we will collect you from your hotel in Lima for your flight to Cusco. On arrival to this beautiful city in the mountains you will be collected and taken to the Sacred Valley, located on lower altitude and therefore allowing for a better acclimatization. In the Sacred Valley we will visit the Inca sites of Pisac and Ollantaytambo as well as the famous Pisac Market before heading to your hotel in the Sacred Valley
    Day 4; Train journey to km104 for the start of your short Inca Trail
    Today we will collect you in the morning from your Sacred Valley Hotel and take you to the train station for your train to Machu Picchu. You will travel by train till a place called Km104 where the train will make a quick stop and we will gear up for a couple of hours hiking. In the afternoon we reach the impressive site of Winay Wayna from where we will continue for another two hours till we reach Machu Picchu itself. After some free time we will take you to your hotel for tonight.
    Day 5; Morning visit to Machu Picchu and return to Cusco
    On day two of your short Inca Trail to Machu Picchu you will be taken to the site early for a private guided exploration of the site. Afterwards you will have some free time and in the afternoon can head down to Aguas Calientes to catch the train back to Ollantaytambo and from here returned to Cusco where you will be taken to your hotel.
    Day 6; Free morning and afternoon guided excursion of Cusco and the Inca sites
    Today you start with a free morning to unwind and enjoy the beautiful city of Cusco. The central location of your hotel will allow you to explore this historic city center on foot. In the afternoon we will collect you for a guided visit of the city as well as the 4 impressive Inca ruins located on the outskirts of town.
    Day 7; Transfer to the airport for your onward travel
    During the day we will collect you from the hotel and take you to the airport to embark your flight to your next destination.
